The preliminary result of TSC Summer 2018 is released

Today, we have announced the preliminary result of TSC Summer 2018 that was carried out between the 3rd and 5th of August. The total nuber of people counted in TSC was 1,392, which is 2.3 times more than last summer's official figure (this summer's official number is not yet released). Based on this ratio, our estimate of rough sleeping population for entire Tokyo is approximately 2,300. Although this is still a point-in-time figure and much more should be learnt about this population, we hope that the TSC result fosters further discussions on homelessness in our city.

We are currently analysing the TSC data in detail and more will come out in the following months!
